Grammar

Present perfect/simple grammar question.

Hello there.
Could someone please explain to me the use of present simple (or alternatively present perfect) when it comes to talking about things that occurred in the past but from a future perspective, so effectively they haven't happened yet? Have a look at these sentence below:
-My day is planning to start his holiday two days after we've arrived.
Would present simple be okay in the above example?
