Present Perfect+Past Perfect

Hi!

I'm not sure if it's correct to use present perfect tenses and past perfect in the same sentence.

I'm thinking about this sentence:

"Her mother has noticed that Paula has been losing certain skills, such as the ability to talk, that she had previously learnt."

I imagine it that the girl has been still losing her skills and she learnt, or acquired them, earlier in life.

Can you advise me which tenses to use?

Thank you

The sentence in question is good. In the US, we say "learned" not "learnt," though it isn't considered wrong.
