IS it ok to say the following considering the strict tense grammar of English: Since beginnig of the last week, I have tried telephoning you so many times

Thank you very much indeed. Sth which makes me confused for using present perfect is that we`re not supposed to use a definite date with it, here in the mentioned example "beginning the last week" can`t be taken as a definite date?

That is not a true statement. With a "since" clause, we can use past markers. i.e. I have been a Beatles fan since I was 10 years old ( you are 25
