We've spoken earlier today about adding missing mileages to my airline account. Or

We spoke earlier today about adding missing mileages to my airline account.

Are both useable which one is native?

But I have seen many people use
"As I have said earlier".
So is this wrong?

Why can't we use the present perfect here? It's during the present tense and on the same day as the later phrase.

I agree in theory, but in the particular expression 'as subject verb earlier', the present perfect is used by some speakers when we would expect the past simple. I don't think you'll find it much in writing, though t
