Present perfect tense vs past tense

Wondering which tense I should use in the following sentence:

Can you verify if he has sent / sent any email to us?

Has sent - unspecified event took place in the past which links to the present. She has lied many time to her husband. The lying began sometime in the past and still going on.

  • Has sent - unspecified event took place in the past which links to the present.
  • She has lied many time to her husband.
  • The lying began sometime in the past and still going on.
  • Sent - the simple past is typically associated with some kind of past time marker.
  • I emailed you a filed yesterday , did you get it?

Sent - the simple past is typically associated with some kind of past time marker. I emailed you a filed yesterday, did you get it? Or we can use the pres. perf. to suggest a past to present m
