I'm studying present perfect tense at the moment. There is a point that I can not understand properly in a book about present perfect tense. I copied following sentences and meaning from the book.
I've written my essay. (the essay is finished but we don't know when).
I've made quite a lot of notes. (at some point before now and I may make more notes).
I can understand first sentence, but the thing is when it come to second sentence, the action not complete now. I can't understand why first sentence mention a completed action and second one is not.
dileepa s when it come to second sentence, the action not complete now. I can't understand why first sentence mention a completed action and second one is not. The first is a single instance (one essay); the second is a repetition of many instances (many notes).
