Present Perfect Simple vs Past Simple

Hi Everyone!
The following are sentences from a grammar book, and I have to complete them according to the tenses( Present Perfect Simple or Past Simple). I am not sure about my answers. I write the sentences as they appear in the book. So if you can- complete them and also explain why you chose that tense.

  1. Rose completely (changed) since she (become) a senior partner in this law firm.

  2. The weather (change). When I (arrive) it was still warm.

  3. Someone (break into) my flat during the night.

  4. I (call) you several times lately but you (not bother) to return my calls.

  5. Since I (find) that note in my mailbox yesterday, I (not stop) thinking about it.
