Grammar

present perfect simple or present perfect continuous

Hello,

Can you help me with the following sentences. They are all written with present perfect continuous. However, I'm not %100 sure about using the continnuous form here. They talk about the results of an action and also it is inferred that they are all finished activities. When an activity is finished/completed present perfect simple is also possible, right? Here are sentences:
  1. 1. A: Oh, look at your shoes. They are mud all over!
B: Yes, I’ve been walking in forest under the the rain.
  1. 2. A: Wow, you have got a lovely tan. How come?
B: I’ve been sunbathing in solarium.
  1. 3. A: What’s your brother’s science project doing here in your room?
B: We’ve been examining it with friends.
  1. 4. A: I was not here last week but all of my letters are opened!
B: We’ve been checking if there’s anything urgent.

All comments/thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks
