Present perfect or Past simple

Hello,

Could you check if there are any mistakes in these examples?

1.Alex is an artist. He has drawn/drew many beautiful pictures in his lifetime.

2.Jack really needs to get in touch with you. Sice this morning, he has callled/called here four times. He called/has called at 9:10, 10:25, 12:15 and 1:45.

3.Janet has worn her new dress only once since she bought/has bought it.

4Speaker A:.I have not been able/wasn't able to reach Mr. Chang yet. So far he has not responded/didn't respond to any of my attempts to reach him.

Speaker B: Oh!

Speaker A: I started trying to reach him three days ago. Since then, I have faxed /faxed him twice. I have phoned/phoned him four times. And I have sent/sent at least six emails.

Speaker B: I guess modern communications don't mean much if there is no one at the other end.

Is it always required to use present perfect after 'since'?

All OK. - - It is wrong to use present perfect AFTER 'since' (except in certain very limited cases where the action is also a continuing one), but present perfect almost always appears in the OTHER clause.

Is it always required to use present perfect after 'since'?-- It is wrong to use present perfect AFTER 'since' (except in certain very limited cases where the action is also a continuing one), but present perfect almost always appears in the OTHER clause.

Could you give me an example where it is used? Should I always use present perfect after 'so far'? And was it possible to use past simple in either of those exampes?

Should I always use present perfect after 'so far'?-- Probably.
And was it possible to use past simple in either of those examples?-- No, not really if you want to maintain the grammar. Of course, natives can say anytbing—especially Americans.

I meant the use of present perfect after 'since' in certain very limited cases, as you say.
