Present perfect continuous/past continuous
It (look) as if this light (burn) all night.
My task is to put the verbs into the correct tense.
My answer is the present simple and the past continuous. However, the key suggests the present perfect continuous. I wonder whether it is a matter of how I perceive 'all night' (finished action) or there is a grammatical reason.
