present perfect continuous

Hi teacher

Is it possible to write that

I have been trying to contact you for 4 weeks , but I was disappointed because I did not get any answer
But today got one at last
or should I write
I had been trying to contact you I don't think so because the action of being disappointed is more or less simultaneous of being disappointed
or may be I tried to contact you

thanks for your answer
