Present Perfect and Past Simple in one sentece

Hello. I'm preparing a seafarer for a language test.
This is a key for a sample variant:
"The space hasn't been entered until the fire service arrived"
Is it correct? Shouldn't it be "The space haDn't been entered until the fire service arrived" ?
Please, help me out.

Anonymous Shouldn't it be "The space haDn't been entered until the fire service arrived" ? Yes, but that still doesn't tell us what is meant by entering a space. It seems unrelated to a fire service, whatever it is.

Thanks, I meant to say that "People hadn't entered the room until the fire engine arrived" Do these events seem unrelated?

The grammar is correct, and the sentence is more coherent. I can only assume that context will explain why people waited for the fire engine to arrive before entering that room, if that's what happened, so I'm not going to worry about that part.
