Present perfect after as if and as though correct?
Hi. Could we have the present perfect after the phrases "as if" and "as if"? I think we normally see the past and past perfect tenses after the phrases "as if" and "as though" (not sure, though). Thank you in advance.
He feels as if the bottom has dropped off.
I think the following is incorrect.
He felt as if the bottom has dropped off
Top answer
These are both fine: He feels as if the bottom has dropped off. -- Right now He felt as if the bottom has dropped off - - In the past.
