Present Perfect

Hi

I have a question on this sentence.

I _____________________ so much fun since I was a kid. (have)

I think both haven't had or have had can be used here.

Haven't had....This is said when the speaker refers to a recently completed event which she or he enjoyed very much.

Have had....This I think can be used when the speakers recount all the moments they have enjoyed in their life.

Please give your views.
