Hello,

Is it better to use present perfect here?

Over her long career she has won hundreads of awards and she is a household name of everywhere. (Kylie Minogue)

What you wrote is correct, apart from right at the end. It should be "she is a household name everywhere", without "of".

You can only assume that because present perfect was used.
If her career is over, it should say 'she won' hundreds of awards.

I assumed that Nina_Nia was talking about the real Kylie Minogue and that Wikipedia's report next year's new album was accurate. Based on these assumptions, there was only one way that her sentence could accurately reflect reality which (again) I assumed she was trying to do.
