Present Perfect

Hello. Do I have to use the Present Perfect when I use the expression "at different moments"? For instance, in the following sentence:

"I have read the same book at different times of my life."

Can I say "I read the same book at different times of my life"?

Thanks.

Yes, if all those different times were in the past. The preposition "in" is best in that case.
I read the same book at different times in my life.
