Present perfect

Hi,

She has lived in L.A. since 2005.

A: There is a time span from 2005 to now, and at every point in that time span, she lived in L.A.
B: There is a time span from 2005 to now, and at some point in that time span, she lived in L.A.

I have recently learned that interpretation B is also possible. But is it common to think of it that way though?

Thank you in advance.

Hi CJ,

So should I take your comment to mean that it is hardly used that way? Emotion: smile

Yes. In my opinion it requires an unusual context to force that interpretation. It's possible, but not common.
