Present perfect

I've found out that I may have anxiety disorder while I was in NYC.

This sentence is incorrect since it's a specific place so how would I correct it?

PH, Here is my 2 cents with this sentence: When we say: he has found [his true love ]/ [out that his wife has been messing around with his best friend ], we feel that we have found the facts. In your sentence, you have "may have" which is not proven factual. So I would say "found" should be replaced by "learned".

  • This is past tense context which can not be combined with present perfect.

I found out I may have had anxiety disorder, while I was in

CJ, can you tell me why it shouldn't be present perfect here? It sounds strange to me without it. THanks

I've found out that I may have anxiety disorder while I was in NYC.

Sorry, the original sentence, please.

I thought it should be this:

I found out that I may have had anxiety disorder while I was in NYC.

1. I've found out that I may have anxiety disorder while I was in NYC.
2. I found out that I may have had anxiety disorder while I was in NYC.

1. Incorrect. Change I've to I. The present perfect is incompatible with the mention of a definite time in the past, such as while I was in NYC. You simply can't use sentences like I have found out about it a week a
