present participle

Hi,
I wonder if the use of present participle correct and meaningful in the context below:

"Almost 17% of residents of anaesthesiology and emergency medicine have reported at least one drowsiness-related traffic accident during their training course; all the reported accidents being occurred at the end of the shift, between 8 and 9 o'clock, while driving under free-flow or medium traffic flow conditions.

Your use of "while driving under free-flow..." is not correct because you are saying that the accidents were driving, and accidents can't drive.

Very interesting situation! Because the structure is two "sentences" connected by the semi-colon, the verb in question must be the past tense, occurred. Had the punctuation been a comma, occurring would be the proper form.
