Present or past tense?

Hi,

Wondering if the following tenses are correct:

1. I have tested the program and found the problem still occurs.

2. Found the words still resonate today.

Top answer

Yes, those are OK-- as long as the 'occurring' and the 'resonating' still exist at the moment of speaking, the present tense may still be used. )

Thanks, that clarifies. Is there a reason for using 'found that'?

Using 'that' here just makes it clearer that a clause is coming-- not that the writer simply e.g. 'found the words' (as, in a dictionary).
