I would like to know what they usually say when they come to the doctor's office: "I presented myself to a doctor" or "I introduced myself to a doctor"?

Who are "they"?

"they" is "you", "one", like in: "They say that these are not the best of times"
I am not sure if "they" here has the same meaning as "one".
