present myself over the phone

Hi I wanted to put the following sentence at the end of an application letter. Is this correct grammar?. Thanks

"I would very much like to present myself further over the phone. "

I have not heard of adding this kind of statement in an application letter, but if it's taken as normal in your country, then you can add: Please feel free to contact me by phone if you wish further information. And give your phone number, of course. My personal opinion, right or wrong, is that if your application is to an American company, you have no chance at all of ever being called, so it is to your advantage to leave out that part of your letter.

"I would like to discuss my qualifications with you in more detail, and can be reached at ####### (phone number)."
