Present continuous tense.

These are sentences of present continuous tense, which I have translated from Urdu into English. Please, see if these are grammatical and natural.
1) He is not leading the procession.
2) The governor is not presiding the political gathering.
3) The labourersare not shirking from work.
4) We are not smelling the flower.
5) He is not ashaming of his sin.
6) The boys are not drinking sugarcane juice.
8) Amjid is not changing his clothes.
9) The woman is not working on the grinding stone.

eg
Ram: What is Amjid doing right now? We are late.
Sam: He is changing his clothes.
Pam: No, Amjid is not changing his clothes. He is watching TV.

Thanks Clive! I don't know much about English tenses but I know the use of present continuous tense , I can boast, very well. But thank you very much for the phrase "right now".
