Present Continuous or Simple?

I found such sentence in a book for English learners:

I enjoy using English outside the class when I'm watching films and listening to music in English.

Shouldn't it be : when I watch/listen ??? because it's always like that? Habit, routine?

I often hear when other people (not natives) use Continuous to describe what they usually do in some particular situations. eg:

When I'm watching a film I like to sit comfortably on a sofa.
I wear an apron when I'm cooking.

Should't it be:
When I watch...
... when I cook

We use the progressive or the simple with both 'while' and 'when'. I prefer to use the progressive, especially in the past with 'whie'.

I enjoy using English outside the class when I'm watching films and listening to music in English. (The reason for the progressive is that the activity happens during a period of time. )

I enjoy using English outside the class when I watch films and listen to music in English. (This is also grammatically correct. A native speaker might use either tense in this type of sentence.)
