Present Continuous or Simple?

I am talking to someone and asking him/her about correct pronounciation of a word. How to pronounce it correctly (and here is the problem.. ) because and what should I use: when I am saying or say something... a driver doesn't know where I am going to.

Thanks in advance

Both are fine in this situation, layla. I would use the simple present: it is simpler.
