Present continuous

Hi Everyone,

I'm writing a sentence, but it doesn't sound right to me. What do others think about this sentence:

'Paul is leaving his washing in the machine.'

Is 'leave' considered a 'no no' when it comes to certain sentences in the present continuous?

Note: I know you can say, 'I'm leaving to go home.' This isn't a problem.

The sentence above feels like a 'problem.'

Many thanks
