Hello dear teachers,
May I ask a teacher answer my question?
I studied different sources and books about present continuous, but I found conflict ideas on it now I got confused and I need a sound opinion.I'd be grateful, if you could help me.
USE 2 Longer Actions in Progress Now

In English, "now" can mean: this second, today, this month, this year, this century, and so on. Sometimes, we use the Present Continuous to say that we are in the process of doing a longer action which is in progress; however, we might not be doing it at this exact second.
What does the the red line show on the right? We can also use the Present Continuous Tense to talk about activities happening around now, and not necessarily this very moment.
Examples
Sally is studying really hard for her exams this week.
I am reading a really interesting book now.
How are you brushing up on your English for the trip?
We aren't working hard these days. Here's my problem: 1.Is "Near Now" the same as "longer actions in progress now"?2.Is sometimes "longer action in progress" the same as "Now"?EX:I'm busy right now I'm answering my E-mails.In my book the above sentence is organized in Action in progress.I don't know why.i think it is "Now".at this time.
Regards
