present

I have a query about "present":

The manager presented the board with a report.

In my opinion, it should be "The manager presented a report to the board".

Could someone make some comments?

Thank you all.

Yes.

When you are talking about making a presentation on a topic (such as a report) you should use 'present to'

The 'presented the board with a report' would mean that he just physcially handed over a report - with a bit of ceremony too.
