Prepostions

Hi

Can you help?

1.He hasn't smoked for ages.

Can we also use 'in' here? If so, what will be the difference in the meaning?

2. The police car chased the robbers through the streets.

What other prepositions can replace through?

3. He likes to travel to Spain in Summer.

Can we use in in the place of to to mean that the person will make a round within Spain?

4. In summer he likes to travel to Itlay.

Can we use 'during' in place of 'In'?

(When I tried during the exercise book said it is wrong.)
