Preposterous & abhorrent

Howdy!

I've been wondering... do u guys ever use these two words? preposterous and abhorrent ?
If so, in what contexts?

I use "preposterous" from time to time:

"This is prepesterous!"

"What a preposterous idea!"

I can't remember the last time I used the word "abhorrent". It's rare in conversation. However, it's a perfectly good and well-known word, so if I was writing about something abhorrent then I might use it.

Yes, I know their meaning. It's just that I like these two words but sometimes I have a feeling that nobody speaks like that... very often I see words in a dictionary that I hardly hear or see used...
