Prepositions of Possession

Hi! How is correct to turn the phrase "Niko's book" into a prepositional one? Do we say " the book of Niko", or " the book to Niko"?

Top answer

The prepositional equivalent is "the book of Niko", but that form is very seldom used. CJ

another prepositional phrase would be the book by Niko (if he wrote the book, of course)

CJ, thank you for the answer. The situation was that I tried to explain to someone that the book was not mine but Niko's. He didn't seem to understand and I got very embarrassed. "Of Niko" sounded to me as "about Niko". I should have said "belonging to Niko". Anyway, thank you for the explanation.
