Prepositions, nouns, and much more...

1. Are these sentences correct:

a) "I distributed 96 slips of papers IN 16 places, in the hope that someone might be interested in this INTENT."

b) "I distributed 96 slips of papers ACROSS 16 places, in the hope that someone might be interested in this INTENT."

c) "I distributed 96 slips of papers THROUGH 16 places, in the hope that someone might be interested in this INTENT."

Note: Is 'intent' an appropriate word for something relatively trivial, and definitely informal that someone has in store, and which doesn't really qualify as a project?

2. By the way, does it make sense to say:

"What do you have in store?"

And what do you understand by that?
