(1a) I am looking for a vase in this shape.
(1b) I am looking for a vase of this shape.
(2a) I am looking for some hats in these five colours.
(2b) I am looking for some hats of these five colours.

I would accept 1a and 1b. I'd be more likely to say "I'm looking for a vase shaped like this", though. 2a sounds fine to me.
