Prepositions for giving directions

Hi,

Could you please help me with this??

1) Someone wrote (when giving directions): "First, go straight ahead in Oxford Avenue until you see the shopping mall"

The preposition IN does not sound correct there to me. Go straight ahead ....... Oxford avenue??

2) Someone else wrote: Go straight ahead through the avenue. I removed the word "throught" but did not know what to wirte instead..

3) "Do you like to sleep in my house?" This does not sound idiomatic to me. But is it wrong?

4) Is this correct? "Go straight ahead for a block". I think so...

Thank you

1) Go straight on Oxford Avenue.

2) Go straight on until you find the supermarket (this one I know that it is correct). Only for you to see my question. GO STRAIGH ON may have an object or not. Am I right?

Once again.

We usually say turn left into Oxford Street.

Could we also say turn left at Oxford Street?

Thank you very much!

We usually say turn left into Oxford Street.

Could we also say turn left at Oxford Street? (Actually, I'd say this is the more usual way to say it.)
