Hello,

Could you check the use of prepositions in these sentences?

The river Avon goes through the village of Luckington.
There is a bridge over the river Luckington.
When the water is 60 centimetresdeep, cars can drive across the river safely.
Some people follow satnav directions along the river and their cars stop.
The people of Luckington charge $ 25 to help them get their cars out of the river.

Can 'across' and 'along' be used interchangeably in some of the examples?
