Prepositions

Hello there!
Today we got back our resulst of an English exam. On it there was a task where you needed to put proper preposition in the gab, so my question is about one of them. It was like that: ''London is famous ___ its black taxis and red buses.'' The only right salvation as the teacher said, is the preposition 'for'. So my question is, can I put in there the preposition 'by'? Any possibility? Thanks for your help Emotion: smile
