Prepositions....

hello all.. I'm a bit perturbed with these sentences... R these sentences correct..???

1. I'm older than you.
2. I'm elder to you.

is it that words like 'elder', 'older', 'younger' etc. are always followed by than ???

Number 2 is not. I can't think of case where "elder than" is correct. I just did a quick Google search and found a few hits (by Google standards). I checked se
