Prepositional phrase

In the sentence "She is with child" is the prepositional phrase "with child" adverbial, modifying the verb of being "is"? Or does it modify the subject "She" like a predicate adjective? Can a prepositional phrase be a predicate adjective? Thank you very much for any help with this question.
