All the while I had thought that it must have been some kind of erratum on the authors' part or that they had just omitted bringing out what precisely they had meant when they wrote this paragraph. In effect, every once in a way I had been dithering on what should have been a no-brainer being uncapable to get to thinking outside of the box.

Now I looked at the issue the way you alluded to. And I think I've got hold of your implication. I just hadn't heeded the little "eg" there...
