preposition with influence

what are the prepositions I can use with the verb influence?

Please give the examples with meanings

Top answer

The verb influence is strictly transitive, so it doesn't use a preposition, except in the passive voice, where only by is possible. Rap music has heavily influenced me. I have been heavily influenced by rap music.
