The feeling of our parents, siblings and other dear ones being together and waiting for us can be said as home when you say "It is time.I want to go home."

Hi,

In your sentence home functions as an adverb. The prepositions to or at are already included in

this adverb, and therefore there's no need for you to mention them again.

Thank you, Regards. I did not know that home is used as adverb and that home means to the place where one lives.

So basically, it is wrong to say the following right?

I thought he was at home!
I'd rather stay at home
I've seen many authors in newspaper/magazines use at for home. So I thought I could clarify.
