Preposition to

I have a doubt on using 'to' in certain sentences. FOr instance: She began to observe the flowers and classify them according to their attributes. Must we repeat 'to' before 'classify.' I am assuming it won't be necessary since they're part of the same action?

Top answer

Not necessarily part of 'the same action', but they are parallel structures, so the 'to' need not be repeated, as you said.

It's not wrong to repeat " to ", but it's not necessary in my opinion.
