Preposition question

Hi everybody,

Prepostion Question:

I don't have it "on" OR "in" hands?

Thanks!

Hi I think it depends on what you are saying, for example: I don't have the glove on my hands (not wearing glove) I don't have the glove in my hands (not carrying the glove) Perhaps on generally indicates wearing (I have tattoos on my hands) and in carrying (my car keys are in my hands)? Rich

Hi

I think it depends on what you are saying, for example:

I don't have the glove on my hands (not wearing glove)

I don't have the glove in my hands (not carrying the glove)

Perhaps on generally indicates wearing (I have tattoos on my hands) and in carrying (my car keys are in my hands)?

Both are wrong. You can't say "on hands" or "in hands". It also depends on what "it" is.

I don't have any lotion on my hands.
I don't have any paper in my hands.

Also, "on hand" means
