Preposition or Conjunction

Hello teachers

Please check this sentence if it contains a preposition or  a  conjunction.

Can you sing as well as they/them???

Is 'as well as' a conjunction or a preposition ??? Are there any rules to differentiate them???

Do you we use Subjective case or accusative case for pronouns in Comparisons???
