Which of these are possible?

We worked at different times of the day.
We worked at different time on/in the day.

I also thought that either 'on or in' was possible. Is one of them gramnatically possible in that case but not as natural as 'of' maybe?

No, I don't think so. Why would you want to choose an iffy preposition when 'time of the day' is the standard?

I don't want to choose it, but I have seen a couple of example with with either one and that was why I am asking. I thought it might be correct but not as natural!
