preposition help

Which preposition is correct in the sentence? Are both ‘in’ and ‘form’ correct with ‘originate'?

Immune cells originate ‘in or from’ the bone marrow.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much, teacher.

I am curious to know if there are cases in which “originate from” is possible. Is this combination possible or should it always be “originate in”? And if the former was possible, would you tell me how to know when to use which.

Use "in" if you mean "in", of course.

Immune cells originate in the bone marrow.

(They are formed inside the marrow.)

Thanks, CJ. But I meant regarding the use of the 'from' form in other sentences, and when to use which. Should I just never use 'originate from' in other cases because I can't figure out the difference?
