Preposition and the net

Hello,

"You can ask your question on EnglishForward.com. There are many kind people on the site who can help you."
Is the use of "on" in those sentences correct?

Also, when you chat online, some of the medium is called "room" or "chat room", some is called "channel". Could you help me by telling me which preposition I should use:
"I talked with him (on/in) XYZ room."
"I talked with him (on/in) XYZ channel."

By the way, if there any grammar mistake I made in (or "on"?) this post, please point it to me.
Thanks in advance ^o^

Hi, thanks again Avangi (I've only posted two posts on this forum so far and you're the only one who responded).

I thought because you said "on the site" then you should also say "on the chatroom" (although I prefer to use "in"). I've been mistaken then.
