Preposition after backlash

I saw this heading while reading an article on the cnn web site this morning ( https://edition.cnn.com/world/live-news/boeing-737-max-8-ethiopia-airlines-crash/index.html ). The heading reads

Here's what you need to know about the global backlash to Boeing 737 Max 8

Is backlash to correct English? I'd use backlash against because that's what I've always heard.

Thank you
