Preposition

Hello dear experts.

Is there a situation that there shouldn't be an "ing" form of a verb after preposition " FOR".

Top answer

I don't follow you. Are you asking if it is ever ungrammatical for an ing form clause to occur after the preposition "for? Or are you asking if it is ever preferable to avoid using an ing form after "for"?
