Preposition?

Hi,

In my company only executives are eligible --- share option schemes.

* to
* for

Which preposition is correct for the blank above? Answer key says "for" is correct but I think after a preposition "share" should be changed as "sharing" Do you have any idea?

Hi. "Share" is used as a noun there (see share-option schemes), and when "to" is used with eligible, it's followed by a verb. So "for" is used.
